Once again, we had a wonderful day. At a new little school, Mushar Basti in Ward-1, we met the teacher, the kids, and many curious local residents. As you can see in the photos and on our YouTube channel, we had an amazing time. Reading stories, dancing to Snollebollekes, chocolates, temporary tattoos, balloons—they’ll definitely know that 2 of the 52 stopped by. Along the way, we also managed to take some beautiful photos of the residents of Haripur to give you an idea of their living conditions. In the afternoon, we handed over laptops from Rene Wasseveld of De Basis Church to a youth center. Instead of a thank-you, their first remark was, “Do you also have a printer?”
Later, I reviewed the administration with Arbind and made arrangements with Mayor Gopal regarding his contributions. We also discussed some plans for the coming years. There are plenty of ambitions on both sides, but the limited budget remains an issue.
Arbind surprised us with a beautiful dance performance at his home (luckily, not by him 😉), and we wrapped up 3.5 days in Haripur with a delightful dinner at the mayor's home. Forever in our hearts!
