In 2019 , the day before my birthday, I got invited by Marlies Beeks of the Light of Life Foundation for a ladies night. She was inspired by the Teej festival in Nepal, a festival especially for women. During her presentation Marlies did not only talk about her foundation and the Aamaghar Pathshala school in Pumbi Bhumdi, but also about the Indrapur school in Haripur and the foundation 2vande52 (2 weeks out of 52). As it had been 2 years since I organised a fundraiser for Aamaghar, I thought I might as well do the same for Indrapur.
Light of Life has a Little Lights-group. They are a number of secondary school children who are active for Aamaghar Pathshala. Their captain is Jens. Jens has initiated several fundraisers, including lucky dolls. He even got on Dutch national tv to promote this. His lucky dolls were an inspiration for my bracelets promotion. A nice little accessory you cand buy for yourself, as a gift or simply as a donation for the Foundation 2vande52. Cost is € 4 per piece or 3 for € 10. As a personal touch, I have added a least one bead with a heart, as this activity kept me going whilst I was struggling with heart problems myself at that time. My heart keeps beating for the children in Nepal !
